Scott Teague has distinguished himself in the martial arts industry
as an excellent instructor, leader and mentor. As director and head instructor of
the Academy of Martial Arts, Mr. Teague is dedicated to developing and implementing
instructional programs that enhance the lives of his students, not only physically,
but emotionally and mentally. Mr. Teague’s reputation of being a passionate teacher
is what draws parents and students to his school. Mr. Teague is well known for his
unique teaching ability, motivating and inspiring children to pursue their goals
and dreams. With just the right blend of discipline, humor and enthusiasm, Mr. Teague
creates an exciting and energetic environment where students of all abilities and
ages can feel comfortable, yet are continuously motivated and encouraged to reach
their goals.
Mr. Teague is a student under the direct tutelage of Fumio “Unsui” Manaka, founder
of the Jissen Kobudo Jinenkn. He has attained the rank of Yon Dan, 4th Degree Black
Belt, and is a senior Dojo Cho (licensed instructor). Although he has trained in
many different forms of martial arts, such as Jui Jutsu, Kick Boxing, and Brazilian
Jujutsu, his commitment has always been to Japanese Kobudo and the warrior arts
of the Japanese Samurai. He credits his teacher, Unsui Sensei, as his most influential
martial arts instructor, who always stressed the importance of uncompromising fundamentals
and good basics.
Mr. Teague is very active in the community, conducting seminars and demonstrations
for local groups and supports local charities.
